Coronavirus: market update

Global coronavirus cases exceeded 486,800 with over 117,500 recoveries. The number of people confirmed to have died as result of the coronavirus has now surpassed 22,000.

Italy reported 74,386 cases of which over 7500 have died. This is the highest deaths toll from coronavirus in the world. However Italy’s Civil Protection Agency  announced that the rate of new cases is declining for the fourth day in a row.

In Spain, more than 8,000 new cases of infections have been detected in the last 24 hours, and the number of fatalities has increased to 4089, thus exceeding the number of deaths in China.

The rate of new cases in China has been stabilizing. China’s National Health Commission reported  67 new infections, all of which  were imported and six more deaths.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the US has been increases quickly  and reached 68,581. Death toll has exceeded 1,000. At the moment US it is the third most affected country in the world.
