Futures markets point to a higher opening of the trading session today for major European stock market indices. Trading throughout the day, and especially in the afternoon, is expected to be somewhat muted due to the absence of US traders, who will be off to celebrate Thanksgiving. There will be no Wall Street session and US stocks will not trade today. There will also be changes to trading hours of futures contracts.

Economic calendar for the day ahead is light. Riksbank will announce monetary policy decisions in the morning and the market expects the main rate to stay unchanged at 0.0%. The European Central Bank will publish minutes from its latest meeting in the early afternoon. There is expectation that ECB will announce the winding down of the PEPP programme in March 2022 and investors hope that today's minutes will provide some guidance on rate hikes.
